Eastern Association Productions is working in partnership with Play Nicely Theatre to create a new play exploring the 1643 civil war siege of Brampton Bryan.
Throughout the Spring of 2021 we are working with a team of creatives to develop initial ideas for the production. This team includes the performers Laurence Pears (The Play That Goes Wrong), Sophie Steer (It's True, It's True, It's True) + Henri Merriam (Smooth Faced Gentlemen).
The behind the scenes crew comprises director Scott Hurran (Eastern Angles), writer Mark Finbow (The Keeper's Daughter) and designer Mike Lees (Uncle Vanya, Harold Pinter Theatre). Historical advisors on the project are Sara Read and Catie Gill (Loughborough University). Brilliana is produced by Henri Merriam + Mark Finbow.
A public sharing will occur later in the spring at The Seagull Theatre, Lowestoft.
Brilliana is supported using public funding by Arts Council England.
